National R&D Program Hits Milestone: AI-Boosted High-Speed Perovskite Tech Makes Breakthrough

On January 17, 2026, the annual review meeting of a National Key R&D Program project led by Professor Xu Jixian of the University of Science and Technology of China was held in Deqing. The project, titled “Data-Intelligence-Driven Smart Experimental Platform and Common Issues Research for Perovskite Solar Cells,” focuses on building an intelligent research framework to advance next-generation photovoltaic technologies. The meeting was hosted by Huzhou Phoenixolar Co., Ltd., one of the project’s key participating institutions.

Experts from leading universities and research institutes attended the event to review progress and provide guidance. During the meeting, the expert panel examined the project’s annual achievements, assessed research milestones, and discussed the testing framework in detail, helping to further streamline and standardize implementation procedures.

As a core contributor to the national initiative, Huzhou Phoenixolar Co., Ltd. is undertaking the development of high-throughput perovskite solar cell production line equipment, a critical component of the project aimed at bridging laboratory research and scalable manufacturing.

Project partners said they will continue to strengthen collaboration in developing AI-powered data analytics models and smart experimental platforms, with the goal of accelerating technological iteration and promoting the large-scale commercialization of perovskite solar cells. The initiative is expected to support the high-quality growth of China’s photovoltaic sector and contribute to the country’s broader energy transition goals.
